Writers Workshop

This week we have started a new writing genre: Functional Writing. Functional Writing covers many types of writing: letter writing, how to writing, and list making. We are currently working on letter writing. After letter writing we will learn How To. This is how to make a peanut butter sandwich, how to wash our hands, how to go down the slide, etc. Our class has learned the 3 parts of a letter

1. Heading: including Dear _____,
2. Body of the letter
3. Closing: including: Love, Sincerely, Your Friend, etc.
