SO SO SO TIRED!!!

On the way home from the Zoo, some of our kids were sooo tuckered out!

The Jacksonville Zoo Education Program!

The Education Program was AWESOME!!! Our class learned all about a fancy chicken, a chinchilla, snake, and a hedge hog.
The fancy chicken was SUPER fancy... she had fancy feathers on her head and her feet.
The snake was super slithery!
The chinchilla is the softest animal we have ever touched!!! The hedge hog stole the show with her cute twitching nose and sharp spiky spines!
Enjoy the pics from the education center!

The Jacksonville Zoo!!!!

Last Thursday we went on a field trip to the Jacksonville Zoo!
We had an excellent time walking around and seeing all the different animals.

Readers Workshop

In Readers Workshop, we have been working on Retelling the story. You can practice this at home by reading a book to your child, then having them tell you the story over. You can also use the puppets and sequence worksheets that we have been sending home. Practicing retelling will help your child grow strong as a Reader!!!!

Mth Workshop

In Math Workshop we are working on Greater Than and Less Than. You may see worksheets for homework asking you to pick one more, one less, two more, two less- those are in the same category as greater than and less than.

Science

In Science, we are working on Matter. Yesterday we learned that we can make changes to matter. Ms. Simpson and the class made pumpkin butter. The matter changed from a liquid to a solid.
Pictures will be posted soon!

Writers Workshop

In Writers Workshop we are working on writing a beginning, middle and ending to out story. We have learned some AWESOME story starters to help start our stories.
At home, you can have your child write some stories using a beginning, middle and ending.
